TN Skills Finishing School has been introduced to upskill the unemployed youth to get placement opportunities in the industry. This scheme targets all the students aged 18-35 years and encompasses the unemployed youth who have completed their graduation, ITI, Diploma, and school dropouts who require immediate placements. Training is being executed by the industry renowned training partners focusing on maximizing employability opportunities with the training duration exceeding 100 hours.

Naan Mudhalvan Finishing School
TN Skill Corp ( Formerly Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC)) offers free short-term skill training programs across various industries to empower youth with employment-oriented skills. These initiatives are delivered through more than 350 approved training centers, covering over 38 sectors. Since 2021, over 2.5 lakh youth have benefited from these programs.
These initiatives aim to equip individuals with industry-relevant skills, fostering greater employability and contributing to the state's economic growth.
Skill Registry is an initiative by the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC) that maintains a centralized database of individuals trained and certified under its programs. It connects skilled candidates with employers, enhancing job opportunities. Employers can search for candidates whose skills align with their needs, while candidates gain increased visibility and credibility. This platform bridges the gap between workforce supply and industry demand. Over 2.50 lakh candidates are already part of the registry, contributing to a skilled workforce in Tamil Nadu. The Factory Skill School is an innovative initiative designed to address the evolving needs of industries by bridging the skill gap through a comprehensive recruit, train, and deploy model. This program focuses on equipping individuals with industry-relevant skills to ensure their seamless transition into the workforce.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a program that validates and certifies the existing skills of individuals, particularly in the informal sector, without requiring formal training. It includes assessment, short-term orientation on industry standards, and certification. So far, over 80,000 candidates have been certified through this scheme, enhancing their employability and career prospects. RPL bridges the gap between informal skills and formal recognition, contributing to a skilled and competitive workforce.

Skill Voucher
Skill Voucher Program to empower unemployed youth with the opportunity to gain industry-relevant skills at subsidized rates followed by employment opportunities. This initiative is designed to make skill training more accessible, flexible, and tailored to the needs of the candidates. The candidates can choose the courses of their interest based on sectors and locations.
Skill Incentive
Skill Incentive provides additional incentives for students from vulnerable groups. These incentives aim to support the economic uplift of marginalized families and communities, ensuring that individuals from these groups have equal opportunities to gain employable skills and enter the workforce.
